Calibration and Upgradation of Your Brain

   Preliminary yoga practices are not about union. It is all about adjustment, calibration and upgradation of one’s own body brain system. The higher yoga practise is about union. Pathanjali yoga sutras deal both these higher practices and prelimnary practices.


   Our brain has two major parts.One is verbal zone another is silent zone, not known to modern science.


   Brain has 3 parts:

  •              Conscious Brain (CB)
  •              Subconscious Brain (SB)
  •              Unconscious Brain (UB)


   Subconscious and unconscious is misnomer wrong terminology. Brain becoming subconscious or unconscious is foolishness b ecause the entire brain is active all 24 hours. So we will have a different terminology. C.B we call registration area S.B is memory pool shallow which contains energies and information of this janma, memory pool deep which contains information and energies of previous janmas. We have a brain. With the help of 5 sense organs i.e gnanandriya or input instrument and karmendriya motor instrument or output equipment. Brain is functioning and taking care of the bodily functions. The whole purpose of yoga sastra is to activate the silent zone.


Functionality of Brain


   Brain is a thinking instrument it records registers memorises the information and energy for the usage of human body brain system. It also calculates, measures, evaluates, concentrate, de-concentrate etc,.

   Body brain system by itself cannot work. It needs activation. Mind is the external most organ to the external organ and internal most organ to the internal organs. This activates the brain. It provides life and awareness to the body brain system.

   Mind is neither energy nor matter. Mind cannot be known either by direct experiments or indirect experiments. Mind activates the brain, without mind brain and body cannot work. Only in the presence of mind brain works. Mind provides light i.e life and awareness required for the brain and body to work. Even in dream and sleep mind provides life and awareness.

   Mind and body are totally different. Mind works not till the death but it works even after the body, and degenerates body and brain into panchabhootas. Even pancha bootas are also working because of mind.

   In a human being mind appears to be individual but mind is actually universal. Then why mind appears individual?

   Because now called individual mind pertained to human body brain system get attached to the body brain because of brain agitation and its own fluctuating nature. Agitations of the brain fluctuation of the mind are the cause of attachment. Ideally mind should work as a catalyst. The way sun by giving light makes earth o work by not involving, mind should have also worked but it gets involved. This illegal and illicit relationship is the cause of bondage. That is why in contemporary world we have confused our self with mind and brain. We really cannot distinguish between mind and brain. You look at today’s entire books and our language, we will understand we use mind for brain and brain for mind.

So yoga sastra says it is a primary duty of all human beings to free mind from brain. What is to be given on to seizer has to be given to seizer. What is to be given on to god has to be given to god i.e mind must meditate upon the “I” consciousness and act as a catalyst and in whose presence brain has to work. This is called meditative attitude. This does not come by meditation.

   Meditation, pranayama, and asanas are just useless practices and waste of time. Only preliminary practices given by lord pathanjali in this yoga sutras given by authentic guruparampara only can work. Only the meditative attitude (“I”) can know itself that is transcendentality. When meditative attitude arises in the beginning it is called one pointedness or prathyahara. This is not got by either by concentration or contemplation. Prathyahara is the only right word. It is useless to talk anything about dharana, dhyana Samadhi. Unless through prelimnary practices once experiences one pointedness or prathyahara. Anything about dharana dhyana Samadhi is imagination, mere words. Please note concentration is not dharana. Contemplation is not dhyana. Super contemplation is not Samadhi. They are totally different.. Concentration, contemplation, super contemplation and even meditation happen only in the verbal area where as dharana , dhyana , Samadhi or meditative attitude is in silent zone.

   Meditation may give experience of concentration, contemplation and super contemplation but not dharana, dhyana, Samadhi. Forget about getting these higher states by meditation, by meditation even you will not experience prathyahara. This whole confusion about brain, mind, meditation, concentration, dhrana, dhyana, Samadhi etc has happened because many foreign authors have written various books on yoga sastras, not having an aorta of first-hand experience. Modern Indian gurus(not Bharathiya) have read this book written by foreign authors and passing those information and making yoga into a business. That is how yoga has become a trillion dollar business had this gurus has 1st hand experience of at least prathyahara they wouldn’t have done this business. Instead they would have taken the path of vyragya. The sign of a yogi is not having big big ashrams all very the world creating millions of disciples, travelling in big big cars and aeroplanes and playing with millions of dollars. It is very easy to lead a life of yogi but today it has become very different to find a yogi.

   The self, the ‘I’ what do you prefer to call divine fragment is neither mind nor brain. What we experience as I is not due to illegal oneness of mind and brain and this is called little self or ‘i’. This ‘i’ the little ‘i’. One cannot say it exists or not. It appears exists in relative plane i.e when body brain is attached. it doesn’t appear in absolute plane. So our sastras called this as anrutha. In meditative attitude it does not exists only the self, ‘I’ exists. When one experience oneself i.e “I”, that is yoga.

   How to experience this unborn mind which just catalyses the activities of the brain and an agitated free brain which leads to experience of meditative attitude Lord pathanjali says yoga chitta vrutthi nirodha. Brain has to be freed from its agitation and mind must meditate upon the self parabrahma. So that it free itself from fluctuation. in this state mind act as a catalyst and guide like Krishna in mahabharatha yuddha. Krishna guidance is only available to Arjuna i.e. the brain which is free from agitation to free one brain from agitation and mind free from fluctuation one has to listen to Bhagvad Geetha.

   Bhagvad Geetha is an extract of Upanishad content and Upanishad is essence of life. Like scent is essence of flower. Flower spread the fragrance but the same flower when it becomes its own essence it can spread all over the world. it can totally dissolve itself and be time and space. But essence of flower the scent is everywhere. Scent can even pass through iron doors but flower cant. Lord Pathanjali yoga sutras are the authentic sutras which gives us self-discipline a methodology to experience what is told in Bhagvad Geetha and Upanishads i.e. to be essence and be everywhere.

   So it is audient duty of all sanathana Bharathiyas i.e. human beings in Bharatha varsha (not geographical) is to free ones brain from agitation and mind from fluctuation. So that mind meditate upon parabrahman and catalyses (by not involving, by throwing light) the process of the brain and make agitated free brain record reality, the satyam, the truth.
