‘Saddiksha Parivar’ is a group of dedicated individuals committed to bringing, rejuvenating, purifying, standardizing, and propagating the ancient knowledge of the Vedas. The Vedas are the blueprint of creation, and Vedanta is the knowledge of Brahman—Brahma-gnana (ब्रह्म-ज्ञान). Attaining the knowledge of the Vedas is entirely different from attaining the knowledge of Brahman. When a person’s awareness extends from within to without, they can uncover the secrets of the universe. Similarly, when one’s awareness turns from outward to inward, they can know the self and the principles on which the universe is created. Our Rishis and seers, who have experienced Brahman in the deepest silence (Ritambara Pragna), have told us to practice Vidya and Avidya simultaneously. When one gains knowledge of the universe and the principles guiding it, one can know Brahman, the ultimate reality, and abide in the self. This is called ‘Darshana Shastra.’ Great sages like Gautama, Kanaada, Kapila, Patanjali, Jaimini, Veda Vyasa, Acharya Shankara, and many others have developed various darshanas, collectively known as Darshana Shastra. ‘Shri Rama Institute of Yoga & Vedanta’ is an institute dedicated to bringing, rejuvenating, purifying, standardizing, and propagating the Darshana Shastras. This does not imply that these shastras require purification or standardization—they are ever-pure and standard. However, during propagation, human errors are natural. Throughout history, great masters have descended again and again to rectify these errors, purify and re-standardize the knowledge, and reintroduce it into society, thereby uplifting humanity. Today, it is said that 44 civilizations have existed, all of which were destroyed. When errors in the propagation of knowledge become severe, lust within society increases to dangerous levels. This leads to competition, jealousy, anger, and other impure emotions. These, in turn, create vengeance, burning to ashes emotions like love, care, and compassion. Humans begin to fight with one another, unaware that they are driven by lust, self-gratification, and self-aggrandizement. Fortunately, only one civilization—the original Vedic civilization—possesses the unique capacity to purify and rejuvenate itself. It stands rock solid amidst all derogatory situations. Bharata Varsha is the spiritual lamp lit by our seers and maintained by great masters and acharyas. To this day, it serves as a guiding light for humanity, leading it toward peace, love, truth, and many such great emotions. Saddiksha Parivar is a humble effort to cultivate such love, harmony, rhythm, and inclusiveness in society. For the past 11 years, a small group of people has been working toward this purpose. Anyone and everyone who wishes to create a loving world is a member of the Parivar. All are welcome to join this parivar. Together, we have developed an ashram for this purpose. Our tradition is one of ‘Tyaga’ (sacrifice) and ‘Tapasya’ (austerity). Unless one develops a society by tapasya, one cannot cultivate love and compassion for all. Accordingly, we established ‘Srivatsa Dhama’, where we regularly go and practice tapasya. As prescribed by the shastras, our homes serve as our ashrams—places of practice. The duties we perform are God-given, and we carry them out with utmost shraddha, embodying the spirit of Kaayaka. We have decided to establish a center for propagating knowledge in society. As part of this vision, we are manifesting ‘Sri Rama University of Yoga and Vedanta’ as an expression, which is a profound gift to humanity. For future generations, this university will serve as a place where students can learn, live and manifest the great principles of Yoga and Vedanta. We warmly invite you all to be a part of this mission.
